Director, Brand Strategy (HCP Preferred)

Strategy is a multi-disciplinary team of Creative, Social, Digital Experience Strategy experts, unified by a shared ambition to design experiences that move people. The strategy team at CoLab is responsible for unearthing consumer insights and evaluating digital behaviors to create competitive advantage for our clients. This can be a deep look into a single behavior or a broader look that identifies and evaluates all of the opportunities available to make sound business and marketing decisions. Both strategic planning and analytics are key dimensions to our work. Logical thinking that breaks problem solving into a discrete, clear flow is critical to providing credible and persuasive recommendations to our clients. We are fiercely committed to delivering high-quality analysis, in a structured, thoughtful presentation, with strict attention to deadlines and deliverables. In general, to succeed in Strategy, candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, exceptional analytical skills, and a knack for converting insights into creative, actionable recommendations for our clients. An ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in both written and oral form and build trusted internal and external relationships are also key. Backgrounds in agency and consulting organizations are desired, as skills in analyzing and presenting information are honed. This position is suited to a strategist with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar agency environment.

The VP, Strategy Director will be responsible for overseeing all strategic work streams and driving the strategic vision for the brand. The right candidate will understand that content is fuel for the patient journey and through data uncover the insights that develops the content patients need to help move through their journey making educated, wellness-focused decisions. They also understand that consumer experiences aren't linear and take an omni-channel approach when partnering with media agencies to distribute content across the platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing strong client relationships, from day-to-day clients to senior leadership, as a key strategic and business partner
  • Leading the strategic direction with internal and external teams in relation to our clients' brand development and marketing approach
  • Gaining a deep, holistic and evolving understanding of our client's business objectives, challenges, threats and opportunities – including forward looking awareness of emerging competitive threats – and formulating actionable strategic recommendations based on that understanding
  • Bringing experience from other brands and therapeutic areas to illuminate or support new strategies and solutions
  • Developing a nuanced understanding of our clients' customers' wants, needs, and behaviors across the full customer journey

Qualifications:

  • A digital marketing-savvy problem-solver with the unstoppable drive to inspire teams and bring the best work to life, based on your expertise with omni-channel orchestration (including media, CRM, site and mobile, etc.)
  • Successful track record within the Pharma marketing space a must.
  • A strong analytical thinker and translator with exceptional research dexterity, including several years of experience with media-centric tools such as Comscore, MRI, Google Analytics, to uncover the data and insights that drives strategic communications planning and implementation
  • A creative provocateur and persuasive storyteller who is endlessly curious and questioning with a keen ability to shift perspective as well as illuminate powerful insights and creative potential through data and narrative collaboration with all levels of the agency and its partners that will drive growth
  • A true collaborator that has worked on large scale projects across multiple digital properties – the true dot connector
  • An approachable manager with a solid track record of team oversight looking to further develop their management skillset. An all-around seasoned professional with exceptional communication, organizational and time management skills, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change

Compensation Range: $105,165.00 - $165,485.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
