Job description

Job Summary: The Proofreader/QA Specialist role is responsible for ensuring all marketing and brand materials, across print and digital, are accurate, polished, and error-free before release. You will serve as the final checkpoint in the creative process, helping maintain the integrity and consistency of multiple brands. And that all assets are polished, consistent, and error-free.
Essential Functions:
  1. Proofread and edit marketing materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity
  2. Verify accuracy of key information including dates, pricing, URLs, and contact details
  3. Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and formatting
  4. Collaborate with designers and managing members to resolve discrepancies
  5. Maintain and enforce editorial style guides and QA checklists
  6. Identify process improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency
  7. Assist in the development and maintenance of all corporate branding needs guides.
  8. Perform other duties as may be assigned by Managers or the Chief Marketing Officer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Well-developed ability to multi-task and prioritize, strong organizational skills, detail orientation and accuracy are of the highest importance.
  • Experience working in a multi-brand environment
  • Strong command of grammar and editorial standards
  • Experience reviewing print and digital marketing collateral
  • Must be able to fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • High level of initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Must be a quick learner and thinker and able to complete tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and decision making ability.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Adaptable and able to pivot quickly as projects and priorities change

Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related course work and/or professional experience in a proofreading, copyediting, or marketing QA experience position or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Explorer, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite workflows
  • Experience with proofreading tools (e.g., Grammarly)
  • Knowledgeable about social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
