Sr. Engineer, Quality Assurance
Job Description:
The Role
Entegris is currently seeking a Sr. Engineer, Quality Assurance to join our Analytics & Metrology team. This position will be based in our Burnet facility.
In this role, you will provide quality oversight for materials characterization, analytical methods, and laboratory systems that directly impact customer acceptance, yield, and device performance. You will lead the lab department to implement process improvements that will impact lab throughput, testing accuracy, and data stability. Your role will be the interface between the laboratory and other Entegris departments, including production, quality, product management, and engineering.
What You'll Do
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance across analytical and electronic systems

  • Lead or support investigations (deviations, OOS/OOT, contamination events)

  • Drive continuous improvement in analytical robustness and quality culture yielding reduced variability, improved testing stability, and ultimately improved testing cycle times

  • Drive analytical testing stability and improvement through the use of, and implementation of, statistical process control

  • Provide oversight of training, analyst qualification, and competency

  • Review instrument qualification, calibration, and metrology practices

  • Approve change controls and risk assessments related to analytical testing

  • Support customer, ISO, and internal audits

  • Support the review and approval of analytical methods, validations, and method changes

  • Own, maintain, and drive improvements in laboratory quality systems (ISO 17025 / ISO 9001)

  • Serve as a lab focused SME on quality concepts, systems, and tools, especially structured problem solving and risk analysis tools such as 8D, RCA, FMEA, etc. Provide training for these tools as well as act as expert guide for critical excursions as necessary.

  • Nurture and grow a culture of quality as a core tenet of operations by partnering with Engineering and Production teams on problem solving and error proofing

What We Seek
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical lab, quality engineering, or QA role

  • Working knowledge of ISO 17025 or equivalent lab quality systems

  • Experience with analytical method validation and investigations

  • Hands on experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA's, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving methodology

  • Knowledge of proper controls for analytical instrumentation, SPC, stability, accuracy, variation, and method uncertainty, GR&R and correlation and matching

  • Strong documentation, communication, and critical-thinking skills

  • Familiarity with JMP, Minitab, or other statistical analysis software

  • A zero-defect mindset, data driven approach and a passion for taking on challenges to deliver ongoing continuous improvement

  • Preferred qualifications include experience in the semiconductor materials supply chain, familiarity with trace/ultra trace analytical techniques (e.g., ICP MS, SIMS), experience supporting customer or regulatory audits, and exposure to LIMS, CDS, or laboratory software validation
