Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Protect. Serve. Empower Student Success.
A safe campus is where futures are built. As a Safety & Security Officer, you'll provide a secure living and working environment for the students and staff who call our Center home - responding to emergencies, investigating incidents, and helping create the kind of stable, supportive setting where young adults can focus on learning and growth.
If you take pride in vigilance, sound judgment, and treating people with respect while holding them accountable, this is a role where your presence makes a real difference every single day.
Why Join Us? Make a Real Impact!
Job Corps is a transformative program that provides education, vocational training, and career readiness to young adults. In this role, you're more than security - you're a trusted presence who keeps the campus safe, models the standards students aspire to, and helps make their success possible.
What You'll Do
Keep the Center Safe & Secure
Assist the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a safe, secure Center environment. Conduct routine Center-wide security tours, oversee visitor control and student accountability, respond to emergency situations and requests, and maintain the security and cleanliness of Center facilities and property.
Investigate & Prevent Incidents
Investigate accidents and incidents under the direction of management, preparing required reports and recommending corrective action within established timelines. Conduct and document routine safety inspections and assessments of Center equipment and facilities to identify potential hazards, and enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards.
Support Students & Staff
Provide high-quality supervision of the student population - taking swift, appropriate action and positively influencing student behavior with respect and accountability. Assist dorm staff with dorm inspections and contraband searches as needed, and provide residential, recreation, and transportation assistance as required.
Model Standards & Collaborate
Follow all integrity guidelines and ensure no manipulation of student data. Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH. Communicate clearly in writing and in person, identify and resolve problems with sound judgment, partner with staff across all departments, and accept direction from the Center Director, Duty Officer, or Shift Manager - including cross-department assignments and other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid in-state driver's license, meeting Company insurability requirements
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds, or to assess a load and request assistance as needed

Preferred
  • Advanced degree
  • Previous Job Corps or related program experience

Physical Requirements
This role involves sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds, or to assess a lift load and ask for necessary assistance.
Benefits & Perks
Several of the benefits below are fully sponsored by Adams and Associates, while others include company contributions to help offset costs. Details regarding coverage and contribution amounts will be provided during onboarding.
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • Matching 401(k)
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Prescription Drug Coverage
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (Health and Dependent Care)
  • Life and Disability Insurance
  • Paid Vacation and Holidays
  • Employee Discount Programs
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Additional Voluntary Benefits

Ready to Make a Difference?
If you're ready to protect a campus, support students, and be a steady, trusted presence in a mission that changes lives, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and become part of something that matters.
