Summary:

Under the direction of the team lead, process documents for electronic filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system on behalf of Donnelley Financial Solutions clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Read, review, comprehend, and complete customer requests as specified.
  • Research and compile data needed to prepare electronic filing of SEC form types, EDGAR filings, and other financial compliance documents.
  • Follow detailed workflow processes to complete tasks.
  • Ensure final documents are complete and ready for electronic submission to the SEC.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience reviewing, processing, and transmitting EDGAR documents to the SEC or within financial communications
  • Strong understanding of SEC form types, including definitions, filing requirements, and deadlines
  • Knowledge of form structure, field definitions, and required components, with the ability to identify missing or omitted information
  • Familiarity with multiple filing formats, including HTML, XML, PDF, TXT, XBRL, JPG, and GIF
  • Understanding of EDGAR-related terminology and the ability to answer EDGAR questions
  • Self-motivated learner with a proactive approach to expanding EDGAR knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of general administrative operations and job-specific processes
  • Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and understand their impact across departments
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe PDF, and related software
  • Willingness and ability to learn and become proficient with DFIN proprietary filing tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain processes, methods, and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and coordinate with team members
  • Bachelor's degree required
