Job description

Are you an organized and dependable volunteer to help manage in-kind donations inventory? This role involves receiving, sorting, recording and organizing donated goods to ensure they are ready for distribution to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and log incoming in-kind donations (e.g., clothing, hygiene items, diapers, baby equipment)
  • Sort and categorize items by type, size, condition, and season.
  • Inspect donations for quality and appropriateness.
  • Enter inventory data into tracking systems or spreadsheets.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage area.
  • Assist with preparing donation packages for distribution.
  • Communicate inventory needs or shortages to staff.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes (up to 25 lbs).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Respectful of confidentiality and sensitive to the needs of recipients.
