Job Summary

banquet server to be responsible for greeting, assisting, and serving guests at special functions and events. The banquet server will help assist with event planning, preparation, and clean up, serve guests, and respond to questions, complaints, and requests.

Key Responsibilities:

โ€ขย ย  ย Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with appropriate supplies
โ€ขย ย  ย Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service
โ€ขย ย  ย Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen
โ€ขย ย  ย Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion
โ€ขย ย  ย Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests
โ€ขย ย  ย Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations and service areas
โ€ขย ย  ย Greeting guests as they enter a venue and helping them to find their seats.
โ€ขย ย  ย Seeing to the comfort of guests through answering questions, taking orders, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and beverages.
โ€ขย ย  ย Circulating the room with trays of appetizers and beverages.
โ€ขย ย  ย Directing guests to necessary services and features, and leading guests on tours of the location.
โ€ขย ย  ย Assisting with event preparation, set up, and closing, including setting up and packing away tables, table cloths and place settings, and buffets.
โ€ขย ย  ย Supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required. Prior to employment, weโ€™ll ask you to complete safety training and certification.
