About This Role
Experienced concrete carpenters needed in Amarillo, TX to build, set, and strip formwork for commercial and civil projects. This is a hands-on, per diem position paying up to $25/hr. You'll work with a crew on form systems and traditional timber forms to deliver accurate, durable concrete structures. Ideal candidates have solid formwork experience, can read construction and civil drawings, and move efficiently on site. We're looking for team players who take pride in quality work, know concrete placement and curing practices, and can work safely in varying weather conditions. Open to workers willing to relocate for the assignment.
What You'll Do
  • Build, set, align, brace and strip concrete forms using system and timber formwork.
  • Read and interpret construction and civil drawings, specifications, and layout marks.
  • Install reinforcing, ties, embedments, and coordinate with concrete crews during placement.
  • Assist with concrete placement, finishing coordination, curing/protection and quality control.
  • Perform site layout, measure and inspect formwork for accuracy; keep T&M records as required.
  • Operate rigging and scaffolding safely; maintain clean, organized work area and help train crew members.

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in concrete formwork carpentry on commercial/civil projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and civil drawings and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with form systems (Doka, Peri, Symon) and traditional timber formwork.
  • Proven skills in concrete placement support, finishing coordination, curing and protection.
  • Knowledge of concrete reinforcing, rigging, frame and system scaffolding, and site layout.
  • Physically fit for lifting and hauling materials; able to work in extreme heat/cold and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with Doka, Peri, Symon formwork systems.
  • Ability to read civil/construction drawings and complete T&M documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Foreman/lead experience and site layout/cost tracking a plus.
