Job description

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting financial operations in Doral, FL in support of United States Southern Command. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead financial operations and perform complex financial analysis in support of strategic planning, program execution, and decision-making. This role serves as a key advisor to leadership on financial and budgetary matters across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead financial operations and coordinate complex financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making

  • Develop financial controls, procedures, and forecasting techniques to evaluate program status and ensure compliance with government requirements

  • Analyze program costs, identify trends, and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Create and implement strategic approaches for monitoring and reporting financial performance across multiple projects

  • Oversee preparation of complex financial and administrative reports for leadership and stakeholders

  • Plan and lead major financial assignments, evaluate performance results, and recommend improvements

  • Serve as a technical expert supporting multiple project efforts simultaneously

  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior financial personnel as needed

  • Act as the primary point of contact for leadership on all financial and accounting matters

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance

Education: BA/BS

Years of Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DoD financial management processes, including PPBE (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution)

  • Familiarity with DoD financial systems such as DEAMS, GFEBS, or similar ERP/accounting systems

  • Experience supporting budget execution, financial tracking, and funds control in a government environment

  • Understanding of financial compliance requirements, audit readiness, and reporting standards within DoD organizations

  • Experience working with or supporting Combatant Commands or large DoD organizations

  • Financial analysis and reporting
