Inside Sales Representative

Reports to: Inside Sales Manager

Classification: Exempt

Location: Houston Corporate Office

SUMMARY

Trilogy MedWaste is seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in supporting small-quantity customers in the medical field. In this role, you will spend 80% of your time responding to inbound leads generated through phone and web inquiries, assessing customer needs, providing quotes, and closing sales to drive business growth. The remaining 20% of your time will focus on outbound prospecting via phone and email to identify and engage new small business prospects.

Our ideal candidate is skilled at building relationships, identifying customer pain points, and presenting tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of small medical practices, clinics, and other healthcare providers. You will be promoting essential services such as medical waste disposal, document shredding, sharps management, compliance training, and more.

Salary Range $90K (base salary $55K - $60K base + commission)

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Inbound Lead Management (80%)
    • Respond promptly to inbound phone and web inquiries from prospective customers, using HubSpot CRM to track and manage leads.
    • Evaluate customer needs and recommend tailored solutions from our service portfolio, including medical waste disposal, document shredding, sharps management, compliance training, and more.
    • Prepare accurate and competitive quotes, ensuring pricing and service agreements align with company standards.
    • Close sales efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Manage pipeline opportunities in HubSpot CRM and update records in the ERP system to ensure smooth transitions to account management.
  2. Outbound Prospecting and Deal Closing (20%)
    • Proactively identify potential small-quantity customers in the medical field through research and targeted outreach.
    • Conduct outbound calls and emails to engage decision-makers, introduce services, and generate interest.
    • Qualify leads by assessing business needs, service requirements, and timeline expectations.
    • Deliver accurate and competitive quotes, ensuring they align with customer needs and advance prospects through the sales cycle.
    • Close deals with outbound prospects, ensuring agreements are finalized and accurately documented in HubSpot CRM and the ERP system.
  3. Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to foster loyalty and trust.
    • Follow up with potential customers who have received quotes to address questions, overcome objections, and close deals.
    • Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  4. Pipeline and Sales Reporting
    • Monitor and manage sales pipeline through HubSpot CRM to maintain an accurate forecast of opportunities and closed deals.
    • Utilize the ERP system to track closed opportunities, ensuring all sales data is up to date and actionable.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, results, and progress toward goals.
    • Meet or exceed targets for sales activities and revenue generation.
  5. Team Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
    • Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align on lead quality, sales strategies, and customer feedback.
    • Actively participate in sales training, product knowledge sessions, and team meetings to enhance performance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and suggest strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Service and Industry Expertise
    • Maintain a strong understanding of our service offerings, industry regulations, and compliance standards relevant to the medical field.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to position the company as a leader in the market.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 1–2 years of experience in an inside sales or similar role, including at least one year of teleprocessing or phone-based sales experience, preferably within the medical or B2B services industry.
  • Strong proficiency with HubSpot CRM and ERP systems for managing leads, opportunities, and closed deals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess customer needs to provide tailored solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to sales and customer engagement.
  • Familiarity with the medical waste disposal, compliance, or related industries is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule – Monday through Friday standard business hours
  • Monday – Thursday in-person at corporate Houston, TX office, Friday remote work
  • Additional hours as job duties demand

TRAVEL-OTHER

  • Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license
  • Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
