About this Role:
Consertus is looking for an Engineer II, Documentation Engineer, or Resident Engineer for our Central Transportation group. This position provides support to the restoration inspection group, for a CDWM Capital Improvement Program. The Document Engineer is accountable for timely and accurate input of data, document production and reporting, and throughout review and analysis of information received from restoration inspectors, restoration managers, and City of Chicago project coordination office (PCO).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of project information via retrieval and management (document control) of archived historical documentation necessary for project assessment and execution
  • Assembly and management of completed project documentation for use by construction management and operations teams
  • Data entry to assist with project status tracking in Microsoftยฎ Excel and Primaveraยฎ Version 6 database
  • Formal correspondence (electronic and non-electronic) with both internal and external entities
  • General assistance to the CTR technical delivery teams by coordinating project files, preparing project progress reports, maintaining files, and any other related duty as assigned or requested
  • This position has enough knowledge of its own activities and responsibilities to work independently

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or Engineering, is required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools, including MSWord, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork, coordination and collaboration skills
  • Ability to respond proactively in a high-paced environment and willingness to adjust and respond effectively to changes
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload, problem-solve, and meet deadlines set by the program leadership team

Compensation Range: $80,000-$110,000 annually
