Federal Construction Quality Control Manager

Marietta, GA | Full-Time

A growing federal contractor is seeking a Federal Construction Quality Control Manager to support an active government construction project in the Atlanta, GA area.

Position Overview

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the project Quality Control Program in accordance with federal contract requirements. This individual will oversee quality assurance activities, coordinate inspections, maintain project documentation, and work closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure successful project execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting federal construction projects and a strong understanding of USACE quality control procedures, including the Three-Phase Control Process.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage the project Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract requirements
  • Conduct Three-Phase Control inspections (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up) for all definable features of work
  • Ensure construction activities comply with contract drawings, specifications, and federal regulations
  • Coordinate and document daily QC inspections and testing activities
  • Maintain accurate QC documentation, including daily reports, submittals, and deficiency logs
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure quality standards are met
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and material testing results
  • Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions to maintain compliance
  • Monitor subcontractor work to ensure adherence to project quality and safety requirements
  • Prepare and submit daily quality control reports and project documentation
  • Participate in project meetings, inspections, and coordination with government personnel
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience on similar projects, or 10+ years of related quality management experience
  • Experience supporting federal construction projects required
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and quality control documentation
  • Experience with the USACE Three-Phase Control System preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives
Preferred Experience
  • USACE, NAVFAC, or other federal construction experience
  • CQM-C certification
  • RMS experience
  • Experience managing QC programs on active military or government facilities
