Overview

Job Position Title:  Field Engineer


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in submittals, field work packages, compiling as-built data, verifying quantities, field safety and quality inspections.
  • Perform procurement quantity takeoffs.
  • Daily reports in construction management software.
  • Assist with compilation of necessary information for all submittals and coordinate with Document Control to ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with coordination of material deliveries.
  • Assist with field verifications, inspections, and measurements.
  • Work closely with document control and field personnel to ensure they have latest drawings and installation documents.
  • Assist with cost coding.
  • Review and understand the redline/as-built process.
  • Attend necessary briefings and safety meetings as required.
  • Attain necessary job specific training.
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Mastec’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/ or Work Experience:

  • Pursuing a degree or recent graduate in related field.
  • Experience within electrical utility construction - preferably transmission line or substation 
  • Must be flexible in working in both office and field environment as needed.
  • Must have strong organization skills
  • Must be highly motivated.
