Title: QC Technician
Location: Pompano Beach, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Shift: Second Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
Training will be on First Shift until the employee can work independently
Interview: Onsite panel interview
Overtime/Weekends: May be required
Role Summary
The QC Technician is responsible for inspecting finished goods, components, and incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with defined specifications, cGMPs, and regulatory standards. The role involves in-process testing, sampling, documentation, and disposition of non-conforming products while supporting quality operations and cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of finished goods, components, raw materials, and new products
- Compare inspection results against specifications and document discrepancies
- Make accept/reject decisions based on established procedures and guidelines
- Conduct in-process testing and identify out-of-specification products
- Ensure proper disposition of defective or non-conforming materials
- Follow established sampling plans and statistical process control (SPC) procedures
- Provide technical support to Quality, Quality Engineering, and Product Support teams
- Train new and existing employees and review work as required
- Participate in internal and external audits as an SME for incoming inspections
- Support high-priority site projects
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:
- High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of QC experience, or
- Associate’s degree with 1+ year of experience, or
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820, cGMPs, and ISO 9001
- Experience with Quality Systems such as Windchill and SAP
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused for extended periods
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing or laboratory environments preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- PPE required: gloves, eyewear, lab coat
- Exposure to biological hazards (blood products)
- Occasional gowning-up required
- Light physical demands, including:
- Close visual acuity
- Occasional repetitive hand movements
- Occasional lifting (10–35 lbs.)
- Occasional pushing, pulling, and power jack use
