Description
The Access Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all access control operations at a cleared data center construction site. This role ensures the secure movement of personnel, vehicles, and materials in accordance with approved security procedures and contract requirements.
Serving as the primary lead for the Access Control team, the Access Control Manager provides direct supervision to Access Control Technicians, coordinates closely with the Site Security Manager and Construction Surveillance leadership, and ensures access control operations remain compliant, auditable, and operationally effective throughout site startup and construction activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and oversee daily access control operations at a cleared construction site, ensuring strict adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, train, and support Access Control Technicians, ensuring consistent performance and compliance with post orders.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, coverage, and tasking to support 24/7 operational requirements as needed.
  • Ensure proper verification of credentials, badging, visitor processing, and access authorization for personnel and vehicles.
  • Maintain accountability and control of access control systems, equipment, badges, and related materials.
  • Ensure access control documentation, logs, and reports are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Coordinate with Site Security Managers, Construction Surveillance leadership, and project stakeholders to support secure site operations.
  • Support investigations, incident reporting, and corrective actions related to access control issues.
  • Prepare for and support internal and third-party audits by enforcing approved access control procedures and controls.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of personnel on access control procedures, systems, and site-specific requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience in access control operations within a cleared or high-security environment.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing access control or security personnel.
  • Strong understanding of credential verification, badging processes, and access control systems.
