Job description

Overview

Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a Document Control Specialist in Washington, D.C. to join our team.
The pay range for this position is $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually. The pay range for this position is for the project assignment at Ivy City Yard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.

  • Responsible for the processing, organization, and filing of physical and digital documents
  • Maintain electronic document control platform and ensure company-wide adherence to established document control procedures
  • Operate reproduction equipment such as scanners, high speed copiers, wide-format copiers, etc. to produce legible copies
  • Responsible for archival of superseded drawings, updating plan sets upon issuance of addendums or revised drawings, and distributing updated plans to project personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Review drawing border information, border blocks, professional engineer stamps for completeness and version control
  • Review documents for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to formatting standards
  • Ensure correct sequential processing and distribution of project drawings, RFIs, submittals, letters, and other documents using an approved project transmittal process
  • Maintain various document tracking logs and generate status reports for project deliverables
  • Assist the project team in retrieval of documents in a timely manner
  • Audit as-built drawings and specifications for completeness and adherence to established project procedures
  • Assist quality and project controls teams in the creation and submittal of closeout deliverables
  • Protect sensitive and confidential information through proper access controls
  • Create and maintain templates
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with document control software such as Prolog, Procore, PM Web required
  • Prior experience implementing document control procedures
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and related Microsoft products
  • General knowledge of office procedures preferred
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Previous experience in construction and engineering industries a plus

  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
