Job description

The Quality Assurance Technician provides support to the Quality Department in maintaining food safety, quality initiatives, process control, continuous improvement, and resolving quality issues.? Under readily available supervision, performs repetitive inspections following standardized methods and procedures.? Visually inspects/checks products against fixed samples.?Maintains quality documents. Visually inspects and releases labels and components against standards.
Essential Job Duties:
- Visual observation of daily plant operations.
- Monitor product for compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, regulations, and certifications.
- Organoleptic testing of product. ATP, allergen, and other testing of equipment and the facility.
- Perform checks on finished goods, food process procedures, and cleaning procedures.
- Ensure compliance with quality specifications & procedures and sanitary specifications & procedures.
- Document observed non-conformances, and report them to QA Supervisor.
- Follow and reinforce GMP compliance throughout the manufacturing areas of the facility.
- Obtain product samples during work shift for lab testing.
- Observe the flow of production to ensure there is no contamination of food products.
- Complete daily activity logs with findings & recommendations, and record use of testing supplies.
- Assist in basic Document Control tasks and maintenance.
- Ability to work and communicate well with QA Team and others across all departments.
- Perform basic operations within company ERP, CMMS, and Production software systems.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent .Good writing and computer skills. Highly attentive to details. Committed and responsible. Self-motivated.
Job requirements
Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license .Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and/or walk for the majority of a 10-hour shift .Overtime might be required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Limble CMMS, Batchmaster, and/or Redzone a plus Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
