Essential Accounting Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.
  • Prepare customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections.
  • Enter payroll journal entries and assist with payroll reconciliation.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial schedules.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Human Resources Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Coordinate payroll processing with the company's payroll provider.
  • Review employee time records for accuracy.
  • Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, promotions, bonuses, and salary adjustments.
  • Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll tax documentation.
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries for accounting.

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement benefits.
  • Coordinate employee enrollments, changes, and terminations.
