What is a Dock Door in a warehouse or logistics environment?

A dock door is a large, industrial door located on the exterior of a warehouse or distribution center, designed for the loading and unloading of goods from trucks and trailers. Dock doors are essential for streamlining shipping and receiving processes, enhancing safety, and protecting inventory from the elements. They come in various types, such as overhead, roll-up, or sectional doors, depending on the facility's needs.
