Summary: 
 
The Dock Coordinator (Inventory Specialist) supports field operations by managing inventory accuracy and ensuring smooth movement of orders from receiving to fulfilment. This role involves hands-on inventory control, customer interaction, and collaboration with internal teams, using RF scanning tools and electronic systems in a fast-paced warehouse or customer-site environment.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Perform inventory activities including replenishment, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, returns, and backorder processing using RF handheld scanners and mobile applications
  • Receive inbound shipments, scan and store materials, and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Monitor stock levels proactively and identify gaps or issues before they impact operations
  • Handle customer interactions primarily via email, with follow-ups by phone as needed, and support internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to identify and implement workflow and process improvements
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across all work areas, adhering to site guidelines and PPE requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, pushcarts, and mobile cylinders
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–3 years of experience in customer-facing roles, retail stocking, warehouse operations, or inventory control
  • Proficiency in using RF handheld scanners or mobile scanning applications
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE usage in warehouse or lab-adjacent environments
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, particularly for email-based customer support
  • Forklift certification
  • Ability to lift 30–40 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual material handling for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in environments with varied temperatures and chemical-based allergens.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accountability

  • Ability to work independently at customer sites with minimal supervision
