Job Description:

DME Customer Service Reps serve as a hub for the larger CoxHealth at Home DME team. They receive incoming requests for DME items/services by phone, fax, and other electronic referral portals and direct those new orders to the appropriate team/area within CoxHealth at Home. DME Customer Service Reps speak directly with patients, caregivers, CoxHealth staff, external referring facilities, etc. who call in for information on how to establish services with CoxHealth at Home DME. DME Customer Service Reps also receive inquiries from existing patients for all DME items and services and assist with common troubleshooting scenarios. They develop close working relationships with coworkers across CoxHealth at Home to gather information for those patients. This position is ideal for a candidate who can work well independently while closely following established protocols. DME Customer Service Reps collaborate closely with teammates to ensure patients’ needs are met in a timely fashion.Education: ▪ Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience: ▪ Required: 1 year customer service experience. ▪ Preferred: 1 year experience in a healthcare or DME setting.Skills: ▪ Ability to deal effectively and courteously with patients, families, coworkers, physicians, and community resources while exhibiting an empathetic attitude toward the sick and elderly. ▪ Strong problem-solving skills. ▪ Ability to prioritize shifting incoming inquiries containing multiple time-sensitive needs. ▪ Ability to work independently with easy access to reference materials, supervisors, and coworkers. ▪ Adept in Microsoft Office suite. ▪ Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ N/A
