COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
BENEFITS: Excellent benefits package, including 2+ weeks PTO and 7 paid holidays. Position Summary:

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the distribution center operations to include labor management, shipping and receiving, and distribution center personnel. Partners with distribution management to oversee and/or recommend improvements to processes, warehouse facilities, equipment, etc.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the distribution center operations including but not limited to labor management, shipping and receiving, warehouse facility and equipment maintenance.

  • Work with cross-functional departments as it relates to the distribution center operations and ensure prompt and timely resolution of any issues.

  • Review and analyze operational reports to include warehouse productivity, labor allocations, budget and expenses, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), etc.; manage the warehouse operations and personnel to achieve company and department goals and objectives.

  • Partner with other distribution management accordingly and develop improvement plans and processes in order to meet or exceed such goals and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with customers; may discuss customer service standards and/or performance against KPIs, support process for new accounts, and work with customers and Customer Service team on changes in delivery schedules.

  • Responsible to generate, analyze and/or summarize reporting data related to product shipment, volume rebate activities, and customer reports, working with transportation and corporate departments.

  • Ensure and enforce the execution of uniform warehouse processes according to company policy, practices and procedures to maintain on time delivery and accuracy of shipments.

  • Work with warehouse supervisors on observations of warehouse processes and provide guidance and training to associates as needed.

  • Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment. This mayinclude, butis not limited to:

- Work with maintenance team to maintain the physical condition of the warehouse facility and ensure equipment is in proper working condition. Ensure procedures for the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment is followed; address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Work with Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Risk Management, etc. to establish safety and security procedures and policies regarding personnel, equipment and property and ensure compliance of such.
- Oversee the sanitation team to ensure the cleanliness of the work environment.
- Promote and reinforce safety and security awareness; report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries.
  • Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development ofassociates, and developing and monitoring department goals.

  • Work with Director Distribution to prepare and monitor operating, labor and capital expenditure budgets as required.

  • Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations, industry trends and best practices within Distribution Center operations; make recommendations to improve current processes and to ensure company legal compliance.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, or other related field preferred or equivalent combinationof education and experience.

  • Five years distribution center experience; two years supervisory/management experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Good leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, conflict management and business acumen skills.

  • Ability to work across business units.

  • In-depth knowledge of distribution center operations; knowledge of warehouse management systems.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and ability to travel up to 15% as necessary.

Must frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls. Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed. While performing the duties of this position, employees are subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
