Distributions Manager

Location: Norfolk, VA (with weekly travel to Richmond, VA)

Position Overview

Tidewater Staffing is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a growing appliance distribution company serving Hampton Roads and Central Virginia. This leadership role oversees warehouse operations, delivery, installation, and the managers responsible for those departments, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop warehouse, delivery, and installation management teams.
  • Oversee daily operational performance across multiple locations.
  • Drive efficiency, productivity, and operational improvements.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate logistics, staffing, and workflow between facilities.
  • Support inventory accuracy and operational planning.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve company objectives.
  • Travel to the Richmond operation approximately once per week or as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of operations, warehouse, distribution, or logistics management experience.
  • Experience managing managers or multiple departments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and decision-making abilities.
  • Background in warehouse, retail distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
