Job Description
The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient distribution of product as well as the management of a team of Drivers within a Sales Center facility. In certain facilities this role will also assume responsibility for Full Service routing and reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate distribution schedules, vehicle assignments, loading of product and delivery of product
  • Conduct weekly route rides with Drivers; document observations and develop action plan to address areas of opportunity
  • Where applicable: complete daily Full Service route planning; conduct Full Service audits and provide Full Service reporting as needed
  • Supervise, train, develop and evaluate a team of direct reports
  • Foster a fun, results driven work environment that achieves its results in a safe, professional and ethical manner
  • Ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies and regulatory requirements
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships; work to resolve customer issues
  • Serve as liaison between distribution and sales departments

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Warehouse & Distribution, Supply Chain or related field required
  • Previous supervisory and / or leadership experience preferred
  • Basic technical knowledge and working experience with SAP preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, to clearly articulate relevant ideas, opinions and information
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and across teams where necessary, to develop relationships throughout the company and to work collaboratively
  • Ability to effectively supervise and motivate employees
