Job Overview

This position will provide leadership and direction to the Distribution Center. This individual works with the scheduling department to root cause and implement quality & process improvement projects for the shipping department.

Highlights of your role

Ensure a safe work environment. Provide direction and mentor Supervisors for the Loading Dock teams. Participate in interviews, select, coach and develop supervision so they can be productive and as successful as possible. Evaluate and determine the labor needs of the Distribution Center. Lead, direct & motivate the Loading Dock Employees. Provide support to the schedulers and dispatch supervisor. Partner with the Engineering department to lead improvement projects for the Shipping department. Analyze transportation metrics and identify & facilitate improvement opportunities. Work with production and scheduling to manage production demand. Determine department capacity requirements. Interact and communicate with customer support to solve customer delivery concerns/questions. Maintain responsibility for proper documentation of department data. Manage rechecks, coordinate field service order remakes and identify improvement opportunities. Investigate quality concerns to determine root cause. Prevent quality issues from leaving facility.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; 5+ years related management experience in manufacturing strongly preferred 3+ years experience in leading people Knowledge of Manufacturing software (ICIM), Microsoft Office Suite preferred Must possess the ability to problem solve and communicate effectively and be able to communicate effectively with all departments and other facilities
