Alcon is looking to hire a Supervisor I, Warehouse & Distribution Management team member. This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. Supervisor I, Warehouse & Distribution Management (Management Path), is primarily responsible for leading team members to ensure efficient operations in warehouse and distribution centers. You will make daily decisions, manage tasks, optimize workflows, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

This role is on-site in our Johns Creek, GA Distribution Center and this is a 2nd shift work schedule of 3:00pm - 11;30pm EST and a typical day would include:

  • Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes.
  • Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members and manage task assignments.
  • Optimize storage space, material flows, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments for timely distribution.
  • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, and drive talent development.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Lead performance management and enhance employee engagement.
  • Ensure adherence to GxP regulations and Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
  • Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
  • Plan, direct, and implement warehouse operations to ensure scheduling of all distribution services including receiving,crossdocking, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, pick, pack, inspect, inventory, maintenance, andadministrative activities meet customer expectations in an efficient and quality manner.
  • Ensure the accurate, timely, and quality shipment of orders, and finished good orders to Pharmaceutical/Consumercustomer.
  • Management and execution of key employee programs including performance management and compensation, employeedevelopment, training , coaching and counseling, talent acquisition.
  • Track CAPEX and distribution/warehouse projects (e.g., major process changes; startup of new products/equipment),activities, identify problems, and initiate corrective actions, including deployment of available resources.
  • Communicate priorities, schedules, and distribution strategy that aligns with distributions strategic direction.
  • Ensure finished good orders to Pharmaceutical/Consumer customers are routed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Proficient in the use of the key logistics operating systems and technology to effectively coordinate the day to day operations.
  • Leads safety programs, and is responsible for ensuring employees adhere to safety policies/procedures by keeping work areasclean/free of hazards or dangerous conditions, operate in a safe manner (zero lost time accidents), and in accordance withHealth, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Involves the use of hand trucks, forklifts, heavy equipment, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
  • Due to fluctuating market and business needs, it may be necessary to work late and on weekends.
  • Analyzes and resolves technical issues and/or systemic needs/challenges, and generates reports in a timely manner.
  • Conduct effective and timely investigations with root cause analysis, risk assessment, and CAPA action plans for continuousimprovement in lead-time, quality, and cost improvements.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING To ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+16yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
