T2 is a division of Tarisio, designed specifically for the violin trade. As a leading international venue for fine instruments and bows, Tarisio has revolutionized the market since its launch in 1999 by combining first-class expertise, efficient online bidding and a firm commitment to ethics and professionalism. T2 upholds this tradition, focusing on instruments and bows that require restoration, have uncertain attributions, or originate from a trade workshop. Estimates are set at wholesale prices, and the instruments are presented in an efficient and professional venue, thereby furthering the organization's mission to make buying and selling instruments increasingly accessible for musicians of all levels.
The Logistics Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and professional movement of string instruments throughout the auction and sale process for T2. This role coordinates day-to-day logistics activities including instrument intake, condition checks, storage preparation, shipments, and post-sale delivery. Working closely with the Production Manager, and client liaisons, the Logistics Manager helps ensure instruments are handled carefully and move efficiently through each stage of the process. The role also involves coordinating with vendors and service providers to support consistent, well-organized logistics operations that are safe, secure and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate logistics for auctions, private sales, consignments, and previews, including inbound and outbound shipping, packing, unpacking, and storage
  • Support safe and timely delivery of instruments by following established internal processes and applicable shipping requirements
  • Manage property receiving, ensuring accurate shipment records are created and documenting condition or shipping issues when identified
  • Coordinate packing and shipping arrangements between consignors, buyers, and couriers, resolving routine issues as they arise
  • Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, inquiries, and general handling best practices
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the database, including arrivals, movements, locations, releases, and shipping information
  • Support Goods In / Goods Out processes, including packing, unpacking, photography support, and documentation of arrivals and issues
  • Number and tag instruments and cases, maintaining consistent standards for storage, care, and organization
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory checks across storage locations
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient storage vault, packing area, and storage rooms
  • Manage the ordering, organization, and availability of shipping and packing supplies
  • Assist with shipment documentation and coordination as needed, escalating complex regulatory or compliance matters appropriately
  • Support occasional domestic travel to assist with collections or deliveries when required
