Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), the Logistics Coordinator supports the efficient execution of logistics, shipping, receiving, and distribution operations. This position is responsible for handling shipping and receiving documentation, coordinating material movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, and serving as a key point of communication between customers, vendors, project managers, and internal teams. The Logistics Coordinator contributes to operational excellence by ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials while supporting inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Distribution Operations
  • Support the Logistics Manager and/or Logistics Supervisor with daily logistics and distribution activities.
  • Receive incoming materials and accurately record receipts within company systems.
  • Prepare, print, and process shipping documents for outbound deliveries and material transfers.
  • Coordinate and monitor intercompany transfers to ensure timely movement of materials between locations.
  • Verify shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and completeness.
 
Customer, Vendor & Internal Communication
  • Communicate material shortages, backorders, and delivery issues with vendors, project managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Confirm delivery schedules with customers and provide shipment status updates as needed.
  • Answer and direct incoming logistics-related calls and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel and operational teams to resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
 
Documentation, Reporting & Inventory Support
  • Maintain logistics records, reports, procedural logs, and operational documentation.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts.
  • Support the preparation of operational reports and data tracking as requested by management.
  • Ensure all logistics documentation is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
 
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support logistics operations and corporate objectives.
 
 
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, customer service, or an administrative support role.
  • Experience using computers and business software applications for data entry and recordkeeping.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or construction-related environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, shipping documentation, and logistics processes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized inventory or ERP systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
