Manager 3PL Operations (Delanco, NJ) will be responsible for coordinating logistics operations between a 3rd Party -managed warehouse and the LUSA Logistics team. The role will report to the Director of Warehousing and provide coordination and reporting between operations at the 3rd party location, and transportation, inventory management, Logistics Quality, and Customer Service organizations across LUSA. Key areas of focus will be analyzing local daily execution performance, near to mid-term capacity modeling for staffing and dock management, and timeliness of service, for inbound and outbound operations. This key role will be the primary local contact for LUSA logistics at the 3PL facility. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Analyzes, coordinates and schedules a variety of transportation activity on both outbound and inbound shipmentsusing data driven logistics management systems. Provides excellent communication, both verbal and written, to all internal and external customers. Proactively notifies key stakeholders related to service and capacity plans and changes. Maintains close relationships with Customer Service, Supply Planning, Transportation, DC?s, and other groups tomeet customer requirements Identify and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, includingbacking up departmental colleagues in their primary roles. Build and maintain effective contacts/relationships with freight providers. Monitor warehouse performance targets both short and long term. Utilize quantative metrics to provide operationaland performance reports to internal stakeholders. Prepare monthly financial and operational data reporting tofacilitate improved logistical spend and to identify potential savings. Problem solve and design analytical creative solutions for LUSA?s distribution & transportation network, facilitateimplementation of change Maintain effective relationships with key internal/external stakeholders. Continuously improve the solutions weprovide. Helps inventory control manager monitor inventories; tasks include but are not limited to; order & inventorymonitoring, statistical data validation during on site visits, year-end inventory physical count & reconciliations,monitor warehouse accuracy and address issues that arise. Supports, leads, and implements special projects and procedures as determined with managementWORK CONDITIONS Travel may be required occasionally. Extended hours may be necessary depending on the project needs. To fulfill these responsibilities, a cell phone is required.
