Job description

Distribution Coordinator
Shift: 7:30am-4pm
Pay: $14.20/hr

Position Summary
The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for supporting shipping and logistics operations while ensuring accurate inventory management, documentation, and transactions. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of shipping experience in a manufacturing environment and strong technical knowledge of Oracle or a similar shipping/inventory management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, lot integrity, Certificates of Conformance, and Country of Origin documentation and tracking.
  • Ensure all distribution procedures are followed and report discrepancies as needed.
  • Ensure products are received in a timely manner and all transactions are accurately entered into Oracle.
  • Execute standardized work practices for Parts & Kits, ensuring inventory is safely stored in the proper locations, accurately counted, and properly labeled.
  • Process all required paperwork and system transactions to maintain accurate inventory data.
  • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and handcarts to move materials, including unloading received materials.
  • Execute assignments provided by the Shipping Supervisor and through the Parts & Kits GEMBA Board.
  • Recommend and implement improvements related to efficiency, cost savings, quality, and workplace safety.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible work environment.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain a positive, professional attitude while treating all employees fairly and respectfully.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track quality metrics and trends, and prepare reports for supervisor review.
  • Participate in investigations related to customer complaints and product quality, implementing corrective measures to help prevent future occurrences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime when required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of shipping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle or a similar shipping, inventory, or ERP system.
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy and processing shipping/receiving documentation.
  • Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow standardized work procedures and safety requirements.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
