Position Details
  • Title: BAS Controls Technician III
  • Location: St. Paul, MN
  • Compensation: $70,000 - $105,000 (Depending on Experience)
  • Bonus: 15% Short-Term Incentive Plan (based on base salary)
  • Vehicle: Car Allowance / Mileage Reimbursement
  • Preferred Certifications: Tridium Niagara N4 or Distech

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS) and associated control hardware
  • Diagnose and remedy BAS software, hardware, and communication network issues
  • Conduct point-to-point testing and commissioning procedures to ensure accurate system operation
  • Evaluate system functionality and performance to optimize building operation
  • Modify, adjust, and improve BAS control logic and programming when required
  • Create user-friendly graphics, dashboards, and operator interfaces
  • Ensure proper calibration and installation of sensors, actuators, and field devices
  • Work closely with engineering staff and field technicians throughout startup and commissioning phases
  • Document updates, programming changes, and testing results thoroughly
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced BAS Technician, Controls Integrator, or Service Specialist
  • Skilled in BAS troubleshooting, commissioning, and system-level diagnostics
  • Hands-on experience with Tridium, Distech, Honeywell, or KMC platforms
  • Ability to develop and edit BAS graphics, logic, and control sequences
  • Strong grasp of HVAC fundamentals, control strategies, and integration standards
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
