Job Summary
An organization supporting a U.S. Space Force customer is seeking a Program Security Officer Level 2 to support multi-discipline security requirements with a strong emphasis on personnel security. This role will provide day-to-day personnel security support for Special Access Program (SAP) activities, including conducting security verifications through systems such as DISS and JADE, administering security education and awareness training, and supporting compliance with applicable DoD, USAF, and USSF regulations related to SAP, SCI, and collateral security programs. The selected candidate will interface regularly with program management teams and government security leadership to ensure security priorities are met while maintaining accurate personnel security records and supporting overall mission success. Key Responsibilities
Administer day-to-day personnel security operations supporting SAP activities
Conduct personnel clearance and access verifications using DISS, JADE, and related systems
Maintain personnel security records and ensure compliance with applicable security requirements
Prepare and manage Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIAs), debriefings, and access updates
Support Special Access Program Nomination Process (SAPNP) activities
Provide security guidance to program managers, mission partners, and industry partners
Draft, review, and coordinate DD254 documentation
Support implementation and administration of resource protection programs
Assist with physical, personnel, information, and industrial security functions
Monitor controlled areas to ensure compliance with classified handling procedures
Provide guidance regarding classification marking, safeguarding, storage, destruction, and accountability procedures for classified material
Support security education, training, and awareness (SETA) initiatives
Recommend updates to security procedures and standard operating processes as needed
Report compliance concerns and security incidents to government security leadership
Qualifications
Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree required
3–5 years of relevant DoD experience
Minimum of 2 years supporting SAP and/or SCI environments
Hands-on experience in personnel security or related security disciplines
Experience administering security policies, procedures, and compliance activities
Experience using DISS, JADE, and related personnel security systems
