§ Title: Senior Dispute Resolution Counsel | Mid-Senior Litigation Associate

Practice Area: High-Stakes Commercial Litigation & Strategic Advocacy

§ Salary: $310,000 – $365,000 Base Salary (Commensurate with expertise and tenure; includes a comprehensive suite of premium benefits and performance-based incentives)

§ Schedule: Full-time, Direct-Hire, Minimum 1,850 hours annual billed target

§ Duties:

The incoming Associate will assume a pivotal role within the New York General Litigation group, taking primary responsibility for the tactical and strategic execution of complex commercial matters. This position demands a practitioner who can navigate the entire litigation lifecycle with autonomy and sophistication.


⨖ Spearheading comprehensive fact investigations and case assessments to determine liability exposure and develop winning legal theories.

⨖ Architecting and drafting intricate pleadings, including detailed complaints, responsive answers, and dispositive motions to dismiss or for summary judgment.

⨖ Managing the full spectrum of the discovery process, including the oversight of voluminous electronic data preservation and the production of sensitive materials.

⨖ Facilitating the selection, preparation, and management of expert witnesses to synthesize technical data into persuasive evidentiary support.

⨖ Leading the preparation of key witnesses for deposition and conducting examinations that are critical to the case strategy.

⨖ Negotiating favorable settlement agreements and navigating alternative dispute resolution forums to achieve the client's commercial objectives.

⨖ Cultivating and maintaining high-level client relationships through transparent communication and the delivery of astute, actionable legal counsel.


§ Qualifications:

To be considered for this prestigious role, candidates must demonstrate a rigorous academic pedigree and a proven history of litigation success within a high-pressure environment.


⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier, ABA-accredited law school with an exemplary academic record.

⨖ Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.

⨖ Four (4) to Five (5) years of substantive commercial litigation experience, preferably gained within an AmLaw 100 or elite boutique firm.

⨖ Demonstrated mastery in drafting sophisticated legal briefs, motions, and various litigation-related instruments.

⨖ Comprehensive understanding of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP).


§ Skills:

The following advanced credentials and professional attributes will significantly distinguish an applicant’s candidacy:


⨖ Prior judicial clerkship experience at the federal or state appellate level is highly regarded.

⨖ Advanced matter management capabilities, specifically regarding the supervision of junior associates and support staff on multi-jurisdictional litigations.

⨖ A proactive commitment to business development and the expansion of a professional network within the New York legal community.

⨖ Exceptional oral advocacy and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal positions persuasively before the court and opposing counsel.
