About the role
Reporting and supporting the Dispatch Manager, the Dispatcher will dispatch, re-route and have communications with drivers. The Dispatcher will also report metrics to key central office and business unit managers, provide customer service and perform data entry as part of their key responsibilities of this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Accept and input daily service orders and details.
  • Maintain high volume communication with Sales/CSR's, clients, and drivers regarding delays, changes, cancellations, re-routing, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Accurately completes DOT mandated paperwork, manifests, labeling, bill of lading, etc.
  • Tracks fines, penalties, inspections, condition reports, on time percentages, hours worked, missed stops, gallons hauled, and other key bulk metrics.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective actions with respect to all delivery breakdowns.
  • Learns compatibility and other technical rules for the optimization and safe use of all rolling stock assets
  • Tracking assets at the tank washes and ensuring they are turned and picked up in a timely manner.

Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous dispatcher and scheduling experience (preferred)
  • Required to pass DOT Hazmat Training (initial hire and every 3 years)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills including excellent communication at all levels of interaction.
  • Ability to work under demanding conditions and respond in a professional and timely manner.
  • Must operate a variety of office equipment including a personal computer, email, internet, and customized business software.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentially.

Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.

Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 22.79 - 30.34 USD per hour
