What You'll Do
- Monitor daily schedules and driver progress to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Adjust schedules and develop alternate plans as needed to protect service and minimize disruptions.
- Communicate delays, breakdowns, missed pickups, and other issues to the commercial team in real time.
- Track and maintain accurate documentation related to scheduled, missed, and extra pickups, route completion, and driver locations.
- Review equipment requirements and promptly communicate any issues or concerns.
- Monitor routes using telematics technology to help ensure timely completion.
- Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with customers.
- Identify and report driver performance issues or concerns to the appropriate management team.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of prior dispatcher experience, preferably in a transportation, logistics, or fleet environment.
- Experience managing or dispatching a fleet of 35+ drivers.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus.
