The City of Jersey Village is looking for calm, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our emergency communications team as a Part-Time 911 Dispatcher. This is more than just a job - it is an opportunity to serve your community while gaining valuable experience in public safety.

What You'll Do

As a 911 Dispatcher, you are the critical first link between the public and emergency responders. Every call matters, and every second counts.

In this role, you will:

  • Answer emergency and non-emergency calls quickly and professionally
  • Gather important information from callers during stressful situations
  • Dispatch Police, Fire, and EMS personnel efficiently and accurately
  • Provide pre-arrival instructions, including CPR and first aid guidance when needed
  • Monitor radio traffic and support emergency responders in the field
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of calls and incidents
  • Coordinate communication with outside agencies during emergencies
