Role Description

The Liquid Bulk Dispatcher is a full-time, on-site role based in Brunswick, OH, responsible for coordinating daily liquid bulk truck routes, load assignments, and driver scheduling supporting operations out of our Brunswick and Bellevue, OH locations.

Liquid bulk transport carries unique operational needs, and this role involves scheduling drivers, monitoring routes for on-time performance, and managing logistics such as tank wash requirements, product compatibility, and customer loading/unloading windows. The Dispatcher communicates regularly with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues, provide proactive updates, and adjust plans as needed.

Daily tasks include maintaining accurate records in dispatch systems, tracking loads, managing service requests, addressing delays or emergencies promptly, and ensuring full compliance with safety and transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Routing & Dispatch: Plan, assign, and dispatch liquid bulk drivers out of Brunswick and Bellevue to optimize routes, load efficiency, and driver hours of service (HOS).
  • Tanker Logistics Coordination: Manage load assignments while accounting for tank washes, product compatibility, heel disposal, and specialized loading/unloading requirements.
  • Driver & Customer Support: Serve as the main point of contact for drivers on the road; provide real-time updates to customers and resolve shipper/receiver delays promptly.
  • Systems & Data Management: Maintain precise records in dispatch systems, track real-time load statuses, and handle accurate data entry.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Monitor driver compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Background in dispatching, transportation, logistics coordination, or a related operational role (liquid bulk/tanker experience is strongly preferred).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with drivers, customers, and team members in a clear, professional manner.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with computer systems, dispatch software, and ELDs/GPS tracking; ability to learn new software quickly.
