ROLE OVERVIEW:
Our season kicks off in April and runs through November, with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, you'll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love-while still keeping your benefits all year long.
Responsible for coordinating the dispatch of trucks and personnel to deliver aggregate materials. Ensures timely delivery, efficient use of resources, accurate timekeeping recording and high levels of customer service.
Typical schedule during production season is Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with Saturday as needed.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job) An asterisk (*) indicates essential job functions that cannot be modified in order to fulfill the job requirements.
  1. Assigning appropriate trucks and drivers for material deliveries based on job-site needs
  2. Receive and verify customer orders including Aggregate material/Products, delivery time, and site instructions
  3. Track and record driver's hours, breaks, and timecard submissions
  4. Review and reconcile timecards for accuracy and completeness
  5. Coordinate with Payroll staff to resolve timekeeping discrepancies
  6. Communicate with plant operators, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth operations
  7. Monitor delivery schedules and adjust dispatch plans to meet changing demands
  8. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  9. Troubleshoot delivery issues and resolve customer complaints professionally
  10. Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITITES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)
  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  2. Ability to read maps and give accurate driving directions
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch/timekeeping software
  4. Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
  5. Knowledge of construction materials and terminology
  6. Strong Attention to detail in timecard review and payroll coordination

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
  1. Driver License preferred.
  2. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
  3. General Computer Skills. Must include Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  4. One year of telephone service or order taking in a business environment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)
  1. Post-secondary education in logistics, construction management, or business
  2. Experience with dispatch and payroll/timekeeping software (e.g., Track It, Kronos, Viewpoint, Excel. HCSS.)
  3. Familiarity with DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards
  4. Knowledge of Aggregate products

$23.00 - $30.00/hour and up depending on experience
