Now Hiring: Dispatch & Shipping Assistant (Entry-Level Management)

Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in dispatch and logistics? Associated Truss & Lumber Co. is looking for a Dispatch & Shipping Assistant to join our team. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you'll be the key player in ensuring smooth and efficient delivery operations.
This isn't just an administrative job—it's a launchpad for your career. You'll work closely with our Dispatch and Shipping Manager, handling everything from driver communication to critical paperwork, and even stepping up to manage operations in their absence.
What You'll Do:

  • Dispatch and Driver Management: Coordinate and dispatch drivers, manage delivery schedules, and resolve routing issues in real time. You'll be the main point of contact for our drivers throughout their shifts.
  • Customer & Vendor Relations: Provide top-tier customer service, handle delivery inquiries, and arrange returns or pickups. You'll also work with our vendors to order essential supplies like diesel fuel.
  • Administrative & Paperwork: Own the process of managing essential paperwork, from scanning purchase orders to the Accounting Department to maintaining accurate inventory data.
  • Safety & Compliance: Help enforce our safety standards and report any hazards to ensure a safe working environment for the entire team.
What We're Looking For:

Experience:

  • 1+ years of entry-level management or supervisory experience.
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a logistics, shipping, or manufacturing environment.
