Job description

As a Dispatch Specialist, you will assist in the execution of transportation resources and partner with internal and external customers to provide a level of customer service that fosters both internal and external customer growth and retention.

WHAT YOULL DO

    • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
    • Schedule appointments with customers via phone, email, or web-based formats
    • Communicate with drivers on schedules and work assignments
    • Take ownership through coordination and implementation of freight movement between distribution centers
    • Ensure Quality and Safety in the respective work area
    • Compile data and reports to deliver solutions for change
    • Collaborate with both external internal partners to address concerns
    • Work to improve productivity and reduce cycle time of processes

YOU MUST HAVE

    • High school diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
    • Ability to think critically and make independent decisions
    • Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

    • Logistics/Transportation experience
    • Customer service experience
    • Experience working in both team and independent settings
    • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
    • Meticulous attention to detail

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm. Ability to work on on-call afterhours. Subject to change as per business needs
