Job description

Summary:DecoPac is the world’s largest supplier of cake decorations, baking supplies, and edible printing systems to professional bakeries, in-store bakeries, food service operations, and cake decorators. The National Accounts Manager executes product sales strategies to achieve short-term and long-term business goals and growth opportunities. This position will be responsible for conducting the day-to-day sales activities with key accounts assigned and make DecoPac a key business partner by executing key business objectives. This position will report to Sales Leadership depending on account assignment.


Responsibility:
  • Develop key account strategic plans with the Sales Department to achieve or exceed target sales goals.
  • Develop and promote both short-term and long-term growth opportunities within foodservice channels (including but not limited to Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), Ice Cream, Donut, Coffee, etc.)
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborate with other departments (Marketing, Design & Development, Finance, Customer Support, etc.) to address customer needs and identify opportunities.
  • Develop and implement successful product programs and marketing execution plans to support the Company and customer goals.
  • Be a leader of a cross-functional key account support team.
  • Establish strong and effective relationships with key influencers at customers and key licensor retail teams, such as Disney and Nickelodeon.
  • Create, organize, and lead customer presentations to deliver business reviews, pursue new distribution, & optimize promotional activity.
  • Utilize insights and data to create a sales story around key initiatives.
  • Maintain current customer contact information, initiatives, and opportunities in CRM tool.
  • Promote a positive attitude and participate as a team player.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree in business, marketing, or related field strongly preferred with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a progressive sales/marketing role; or a minimum of 8+ years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience working with foodservice customers is a plus.
  • Experience working with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, present, and influence key customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel nationally (Customer engagement, new business development, industry trade events, etc.) up to 25%.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High energy, positive and self-motivated.
  • Able to thrive in an independent, fast paced work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, selling, marketing, and team building skills.
  • High aptitude for technology is a must. The ability to construct presentations in PowerPoint and manage Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to obtain and analyze data and apply to the business.
  • Project management skills: proven organizational and planning skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to fingers, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds while moving files or small packages. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to frequently interpret data, make decisions, organize, problem solve, and time management. Travel up to 25% (air and auto). Valid drivers license required.

Work Environment:

The position is primarily within a remote work environment; working within the continental United States. Remote workers must reside in any of the following states: Minnesota, Washington, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, or Texas. Key account base may define specific regions within the continental U.S. for which the position will be based. Travel to the DecoPac Corporate office in Anoka, MN and customer account site visits are required.
