About the Role:

The Group Business Integration Director is responsible for the complex, large scale planning, and activations within Gatherings (WDW) sitewide projects and initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

This is a critical leadership position that will spearhead and integrate multiple operational and project management teams while balancing multiple go-to-market strategies and initiatives concurrently. The role will integrate as well as drive solutions and implementation efforts across multiple lines of businesses and organizations to achieve initiatives at hand. This role is highly collaborative and will drive work through all levels of the site and supporting business units. They will develop strategy for projects and initiatives, plan and integrate across all lines of business inside and outside of Gatherings and manage efforts through implementation. They, and their team, will manage multiple projects concurrently with varying timelines, priorities, and levels of engagement. In addition, they will lead transformative changes that continue to enhance the guest and cast experience through business strategies.

This position reports directly to the Director, Disney Event Group in Orlando, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role is responsible for identifying opportunities, providing solutions, and building plans for continuous improvement and efficiencies for increased productivity growth throughout the groups business.
  • Champion group business yield management and space optimization at WDW hotels and theme parks to yield the highest rate of return - influencing and educating internal partners and senior leadership.
  • Lead the Systems Administration Team, responsible for on-going evaluation of systems used to support sales channels and non-leisure businesses, and their ROI which will drive new road maps for future systems to improve efficienciesand revenue opportunities.
  • Lead data and analytical support teams needed to make informed decisions and recommend future improvements.
  • Serve as a creative thought partner, stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and leverage that knowledge to continually innovate the non-leisure business.
  • Provide leadership to a team of Project Managers and office and technical cast.
  • Lead the integration, facilitation, and coordination of planning efforts in support of Gatherings Experiences initiatives.
  • Influence senior executives to make sound decisions by connecting central initiatives, identifying solutions for operation execution, and effective storytelling.
  • Project manage park approval process and new Gatherings offerings, inclusive of providing decision support to senior operations leadership.
  • Plan and activate against key Gatherings initiatives, property activations, and site-wide launches.
  • Lead with a site-wide mindset, inclusive of diverse business needs and approaches.
  • Foster relationships with Technology, Finance, DXi, Gatherings Sales & Services, and business support partners to develop holistic, integrated solutions.
  • Partner with the executive team on cross-business initiatives and navigates impacts to teams and processes.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of needs and prioritization of initiatives and projects impacting Gatherings Organization.
  • Maintain knowledge of site-wide initiatives to regularly monitor business needs in order to update or retire processes.
  • Activate essential company initiatives across all lines of business within Gatherings, ensuring consistency.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of directly related experience (including project management and leadership experience).
  • Experience working across functional lines and as a member of a diverse, matrixed team while driving collaboration. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage and sell large scale projects (with high complexity), budgets, and timelines.
  • Proven experience creating clear and consistent strategies and direction, with skills in planning, development, and execution. Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and confident decision-making skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A professional presence and a demonstrated ability to present a cohesive, influential story to a variety of teams. Ability to influence and persuade at all levels across the organization
  • Demonstrated skills in relationship management with the ability to develop professional partnerships that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communication
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to transform information into easy-to-understand visual narratives that clearly articulate strategy, drive new initiatives, or communicate value propositions and tangible next steps for stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with exposure to business planning/strategy, business optimization, and space utilization.
  • Experience leading direct reports and a team (people manager).
  • Experience as a working manager, executing while also being hands-on and leading people.
  • Experience with SaaS systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, and other data/metrics visualization tools.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
The hiring range for this position in Orlando, Florida, is $132,600.00 - $177,700.00per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
