Description

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is looking for an Application Discovery Analyst to support enterprise modernization, application rationalization, and Zero Trust/ICAM initiatives to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and documenting applications, dependencies, and system integrations across complex on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct application discovery and inventory across enterprise environments.
  • Analyze application architectures, dependencies, authentication methods, and data flows.
  • Collaborate with application owners, engineers, and system administrators to gather technical requirements.
  • Document integrations, access patterns, and migration or security-related risks.
  • Maintain accurate records in CMDB and application portfolio management tools.
  • Develop discovery reports, dependency matrices, and executive-level summaries.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • An active Secret or higher-level Government Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in application discovery, systems analysis, application rationalization, or cloud migration efforts.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Desired Technical Experience

  • Enterprise application architectures, databases, and network protocols.
  • ServiceNow CMDB, BMC Helix, Device42, or similar discovery tools.
  • Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), ICAM, and FedRAMP environments.
  • AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • PowerShell, Python, Bash, or SQL.
