What is a disaster case manager?

Disaster Case Managers are professionals who help individuals and families recover after a disaster by assessing their needs, creating recovery plans, and connecting them with resources and assistance. They act as advocates for survivors, guiding them through the process of accessing relief services, financial aid, housing, and other necessary supports. Their goal is to help clients regain stability and rebuild their lives after a crisis by providing personalized support and coordination throughout the recovery process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a disaster case manager?

These skills ensure that disaster survivors receive timely, coordinated support and resources to rebuild their lives.
