Job description

Freese and Nichols is seeking a Support Specialist in our New Orleans, LA office. The Support Specialist will perform a wide variety of general administrative and clerical functions to provide assistance and support to the firm.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Receiving calls and visitors
  • Composing and typing of routine correspondence, including emails and faxes
  • Sending and receiving mail
  • Schedule or coordinate meetings, handouts, lunches, travel, etc.
  • Printing, binding, delivering of proposals (Regional or National Office)
  • Editing PowerPoint presentations
  • Attending meetings and taking minutes
  • Proofreading technical reports and documents for grammatical or numerical errors
  • Performing minor edits/format fixes of technical specifications and reports
  • Inputting timesheet and expense reports
  • Assist in special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic clerical skills including basic computer and keyboarding skills intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Interpersonal and communication skills including proficiency in English spelling and grammar
  • Experience in construction services field preferred

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in administrative support role
  • Experience working in the AEC industry
