Job description

We are hiring immediately for aProject Managerto lead the on-site execution of complex, high-value projects. The Project Site Manager is responsible for the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of Aggreko's major projects at the site level. This role oversees all aspects of load-in, installation, commissioning, and demobilization, ensuring compliance with Aggreko's standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Major Projects Program Manager and Major Projects Leader to provide leadership and mentoring across Major Projects team

  • Manage a wide range of complex projects within established processes and tools, following formal project management principles.

  • Work with internal engineering and other teams to facilitate estimates, drawings and other related material for customer quotes

  • Manage 3-5 major projects at a time through entire project life cycle.

  • Plan, organize, and direct activities regarding installation, commissioning, maintenance, and demobilization including pre-job planning, parts lists, project drawings

  • Primary interface with client, contractors, client's engineer, internal Engineering department, vendors and internal technical service representatives

  • Track project against its schedule, budget and against phase review objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis, and executive staff as needed

  • Mentor mid-level and junior project managers.Expand team performance and deliverables reinforcing processes, tools, and templates. Promote best practices and PM methodologies

  • Conduct field assessments of team's skills and behaviors, providing opportunities for learning and process improvements

  • Be a safety champion: Lead by example and hold others responsible for working safely and providing a safe working environment

  • Travel 40-60 % of time to any area in North America in varying industries and environments

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of significant project experience managing field-related projects in one or more sectors: Utility, Petrochem/Refining, Building Construction and Services

  • Knowledge in HVAC/R, electrical power generation/transmission/distribution is a plus

  • Experience in managing EPC, EPCM or similar Integrated project teams

  • Strong focus on HSE and safety leadership. Be a safety champion and lead by example and hold others responsible for working safely and providing a safe working environment

  • Strong negotiation skills for effective management and resolution of conflicts with internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities

  • Strong organizational and communication skills for effective leadership of multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and alignment of project objectives between various stakeholder groups

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations

  • Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, P&IDs and process design packages

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CM-Lean, or similar project management certification.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar.

  • Experience with temporary power systems, modular infrastructure, or energy transition technologies.

  • Familiarity with Aggreko's equipment and service offerings
