This is a Full-time position starting at $34.38 - $38.24/hr. with benefits package:

The Youth Tutoring Program (YTP) provides outof school academic support and enrichment for students in grades 1–12 living in lowincome and public housing communities. YTP centers offer a safe, supportive, culturally responsive environment where scholars strengthen academic skills, set goals, and build confidence with support from trained staff and volunteers. The program serves primarily youth of color from immigrant and refugee families and partners closely with schools, families, and community organizations.

How YOU can make a difference

The Program Manager provides overall leadership, vision, and accountability for the Youth Tutoring Program. This role is responsible for educational quality, curriculum integrity, staff supervision, program outcomes, and compliance. The Program Manager ensures that YTP programming is scholarcentered, equitable, antiracist, and aligned with best practices in youth development and education. This position focuses exclusively on program leadership and accountability. This position is 100% on-site, with hours primary from 12 PM to 8 PM.

Program Strategy, Leadership & Direction

  • Provide strategic leadership for all YTP services across multiple tutoring sites, ensuring alignment with long-term growth strategy, and community impact goals. 
  • Set program goals, priorities, measurable outcomes and implementation plans consistent with organizational mission and community needs. 
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and fidelity of tutoring and summer programming across all locations. 
  • Maintain a visible and active presence across tutoring sites to support staff, observe programming, and ensure alignment with program standards.

Curriculum & Educational Quality

  • Lead development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of curriculum for grades 1-12.
  • Ensure instructional materials are culturally responsive, standardsaligned, flexible, and accessible. 
  • Oversee scholar goalsetting processes and monitor progress throughout the academic year. 
  • Lead cross-site program evaluation activities, including surveys, outcome tracking, and quality review cycles. 
  • Support staff in using student data to inform instructional strategies and program improvement. 
  • Define and enforce program quality standards, KPIs, and evaluation frameworks across all YTP sites.

Staff Supervision & Development 

  • Directly supervise the Operations Manager and provide leadership and accountability. 
  • Supervise, coach, and support Center Supervisors and other program leadership staff. 
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development for supervised employees. 
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and equitycentered workplace culture. 

Data, Compliance & Accountability 

  • Ensure all program outcomes, deliverables, and compliance requirements are met. 
  • Maintain responsibility for contract implementation, reporting, and audits related to program services. 
  • Uphold confidentiality, mandated reporting requirements, and organizational policies. 
  • Analyze and use data for decisionmaking, continuous improvement, and internal reporting. 

External Partnerships & Representation 

  • Serve as primary program liaison with Seattle Public Schools and other educational partners. 
  • Support Center Supervisors in developing effective school and community relationships. 

Other Duties 

  • Participate in site coverage or substitute supervision as program needs require.
  • Complete other duties as assigned consistent with the scope of the role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • Minimum three years of experience in youth education or afterschool programming. 
  • At least two years of supervisory or program leadership experience. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of educational equity, poverty, and systemic racism. 
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and analytical skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with immigrant and refugee communities. 

  • Familiarity with Seattle Public Schools or similar districts. 

  • Bilingual in a language spoken by program families. 

  • Access to a personal vehicle.
