Job Title: Department Specialist I
Location: Remote role after training (3-5days training)
Client prefers local candidates so they can be trained in person at the West Sacramento location
Contract Duration: 2.5 months
Pay Rate Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hr on W2
Work Authorization: Only USC or GC
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
Job Description:

  • To complete a variety of specialized duties that support functional operations.
  • The duties in the department specialist job family focus on tasks and/or work that are unique to the department and require knowledge and skills that are beyond what are required for general office work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data entry of purchase orders
  • Approximately 400-600 purchase orders per month
  • Daily processing required (5 days per week)
  • Assist with reporting and administrative tasks
  • Enter purchase orders into Client's proprietary business system
  • Generate, save, and distribute reports
  • Support additional reporting functions as needed

Required Skills:
High Priority:
  • Strong 10-Key/Data Entry skills
  • Previous purchase order entry experience preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
Excel Skills:
  • Basic Excel knowledge:
  • Add columns
  • Enter and update data
  • Create reports
  • Save reports
Location:
  • Local candidates preferred
  • On-site initially for training
  • Position supports the Military Division

Work Arrangement:
  • Remote role after training
  • Client prefers local candidates so they can be trained in person at the West Sacramento location

Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Typical hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Some flexibility depending on circumstances
  • Overtime is highly unlikely

Training:
  • In-person training for approximately 3-5 days
  • Will need to learn the company's proprietary business system
  • Training includes purchase order entry processes and reporting functions

Communication:
  • Minimal customer interaction
  • Internal employees
  • Reports are sent to various individuals, but communication is primarily administrative in nature
  • Limited phone or customer-facing responsibilities
