Job Summary:
As an Intake Representative in our Social Security Department, you will be helping to cultivate and maintain the prospective client relationship from the very start. Empathetic communications are of utmost importance while prioritizing new leads and incoming calls with scheduled appointments. Great attention to detail is required to guarantee efficient and accurate processing of claims from clients from start to finish. Effective listening is critical to help identify all possible claims and the proper avenue for relief - whether a new claim is needed, an appeal, or an upcoming hearing. This position involves extensive communication with clients and paperwork review with a keen eye for details, computer-skills, and phone call management capabilities.
This position offers a great deal of independence, flexibility for personal styles, and responsibility over case files. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, BCBS benefits, PTO, bonus plan, and opportunity for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Frequent call management abilities, prioritizing your schedule to allow for new callers and appointments, talking to prospective clients, obtaining and reviewing documents needed to assist in case acceptance, and working closely with our attorneys and staff to help our new clients.
• Review incoming paperwork from various mediums, saving in appropriate software
• Communication with Case Managers and Attorneys to promptly address any issue found in a file, ensuring excellent service for our clients. Communication with current clients and/or other government agencies may also be necessary to track and confirm status of claims.
• No prior training is required, but experience working with the SSD or VA claims and/or helping people who are disabled navigate the benefits process is considered.
