What is Dirty Hit?

Dirty Hit is an independent record label based in London, UK, known for working with a range of successful artists, particularly in the indie and alternative music scene. Founded in 2010, Dirty Hit has signed acts such as The 1975, Wolf Alice, and beabadoobee, helping to launch and nurture their careers. The label is recognized for its artist-friendly approach and has gained a reputation for supporting creative freedom and innovation in music. Dirty Hit manages music distribution, promotion, and career development for its roster of artists.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a music label A&R (Artists and Repertoire), and why are they important?

To thrive as an A&R professional at a music label, you need a deep understanding of music trends, talent scouting abilities, and business acumen, often supported by experience in the music industry or a related degree. Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs), music analytics platforms, and contract management systems is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and negotiation abilities make someone stand out in this position. These skills are essential for discovering new talent, fostering artist relationships, and ensuring the label's commercial success.

What are some common challenges faced by music label professionals at an independent label like Dirty Hit?

Working at an independent music label such as Dirty Hit often involves wearing multiple hats, as teams are typically smaller and resources more limited compared to major labels. Professionals may juggle responsibilities across A&R, marketing, and artist management, requiring adaptability and strong multitasking skills. One common challenge is balancing creative freedom for artists with commercial considerations, while also keeping up with rapidly changing music industry trends. Collaboration with artists, digital teams, and external partners is vital to execute successful releases and campaigns.

Job description

HVAC Install Manager — Residential Home Services

Location: Watertown, MA area Pay: $120,000 base salary plus upside Type: Full-time
Lead the crews that get it done right
We are looking for an organized, hands-on Install Manager to run our installation operation. You will be the one keeping jobs on schedule, keeping crews sharp, and making sure every install goes in clean, on time, and up to code. If you know HVAC, you like leading people, and you get satisfaction from a well-run day where everything lands where it should, this is your kind of role.
This is a leadership seat with real ownership. You will coordinate the schedule, coach your installers, watch the numbers, and stand behind the quality of the work.
We move fast, and we back each other up while we do it.
What you will do
Schedule and coordinate the work
  • Partner with the sales team and install coordinator to book projects that hit our revenue and efficiency goals
  • Track job progress and adjust the schedule on the fly so deadlines get met
Lead and grow the team
  • Coach, mentor, and develop lead installers and apprentices
  • Run ride-alongs, give real feedback, and hold the crew to our standards and best practices
  • Build a culture of safety, professionalism, and always getting a little better
Own the operations and the numbers
  • Review material lists and check job costing sheets for accuracy before installs start
  • Track labor hours, materials, and job profitability
  • Find ways to run tighter and cut waste without cutting corners
Protect the customer experience
  • Handle client concerns quickly and professionally
  • Do site visits to confirm the work is right and the customer is happy
  • Make sure every install meets or beats industry standards and local code
Bring the technical know-how
  • Apply your HVAC expertise, with ductwork design a plus
  • Help field teams troubleshoot install challenges when they hit a wall
What we are looking for
  • EPA Certified
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 to 5 years of experience installing a range of HVAC equipment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong on follow-through
  • Valid driver's license and insurable under our carrier
  • Solid analytical skills, comfortable reading blueprints, plans, and install manuals
  • Genuine customer service instinct and a drive to exceed expectations
  • Able to lead a team toward good outcomes
  • Willing to work outside scheduled hours when the job calls for it
What you will get
We take care of our team the same way we take care of our customers.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays (your birthday included)
  • Take-home company vehicle, fully stocked and maintained
  • Company-provided uniforms and iPad, so you are set up to succeed
  • Ongoing training to keep your skills sharp and grow your career
  • A positive team culture that values work-life balance and having each other's backs
The honest details
Site visits mean you will sometimes climb ladders and steep stairs, and do some stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. You may occasionally work in tight spots like attics or crawl spaces. It is a leadership role, but you will still get your boots dirty from time to time.
Ready to apply?
If you are ready to lead a crew that takes pride in doing the job right, we would love to hear from you. Apply today and tell us about your HVAC and install management background.
We are an equal opportunity employer.
